Preserved Wedding Flowers

Have you planned EVERYTHING for your wedding day?

Have you thought about flower preservation for your wedding flowers, bouquet, or boutonnières? Add this to your list of things to consider before your wedding day!

There is a lot of beautiful ways to preserve flowers from your wedding. Many artists preserve flowers, and then create different styles of art with the products. Pressed, resin coated, or dried are the most common preservation methods I see with flowers. They all have a different look- and what you choose is totally dependent on your taste & style.

Artists who work with preserved flowers are one of a kind. Creating these pieces takes patience, planning, and a lot of product knowledge. Dried flowers are extremely delicate, and can rip, shatter, and tear easily. Some preservation artists offer color correcting, and others do not. This is an artistic choice!

Unfortunately- preserving flowers from your big day tends to be an after thought for most people. Hopefully this post reaches you a few months before your big day- because lots of preserved artists tend to book in advance. Try to shop local for this service if you are able to. There are many artists you can find through sites like Etsy, however, shipping your flowers can cause additional wear and tear on the flowers. They are already near the end of their life at the end of your event day. Finding someone nearby will minimize bruising and damage to your flowers.

Most florists do not offer flower preservation services. Our work tends to end once the tear-down is over and our containers are cleaned. We do so much work with live products, that we don’t all have the time, space, and materials needed to offer another time consuming service.
