How much do Wedding Arbors Cost?
Wedding arbors can cost anywhere from $300-$6,000+. It is hard to understand what your vision might cost, so I am going to break down some numbers for you!
My cost estimations are based on my own experiences as a floral designer, as well as my understanding of my peers prices in my area. You may find variability between florists prices for a handful of reasons- but these price ranges should serve as a good guide for those who are prepping to talk with a florist about designing an arbor for you.
As always, the cost is dependent on many things:
Size of design on arbor
Small arrangements, 25% full, 50% full, 100% full, 100% full AND floor arrangements/extras, etc.
Size of arbor itself
Full coverage vs. no coverage on the backside of the arbor
Products used
Premium florals and greens all have a cost per stem- the more you want, the more it will cost!
Greenery is not necessarily less expensive than florals.
Seasonality of products needed
Time allotted for set up
Will we need to hire extra hands for the build?
The larger the design, and the longer it will take to build, the more your labor cost will rise.
There are other factors that play into the cost of arbors, but these are our big three.
Smaller arrangements are going to be your lowest cost option for arbors. This might look like 1-3 arrangements that are attached to your arbor. In my area (Seattle) , these smaller arrangements on arbors average between $250-$400 each.
You may be able to get some greenery wrapped on your arbor for anywhere between $300-$900. Of course, the more full you want it, the more it will cost. If your arbor is larger than average, the price will also rise.
If we jump up to a 50% full arbor- greenery and florals, were now in the range of $900-$3,000. This is where the size of your physical arbor will start majorly impacting your cost. There are a lot more florals and greenery in these arrangements than you might think!
Premium flowers like garden roses or anthurium are going to cost more than some our other floral choices. Having certain flowers in your floral wishlist can dramatically increase the cost of these arbors. If you have a price point you need to work with, chat with your florist about your budget, and they can guide you towards floral selections in your budget. Don’t be afraid to let us know exactly what you want/need- because we don’t expect you to know which flowers will cost 10x more than others.
The big one: a full arbor. This could cost anywhere from $1,800-$10,000. It really depends on the design we are going for. To start, there is TONS of greenery involved in a full arbor. The amount of florals needed is also much higher. Unfortunately, the cost is SO dependent on what you want, that its not easy to break down the price range much further than it is. Most of my full arbors fall between $2,500-$5,000. The arbors that fall in the $5,000-$10,000 range are typically luxurious, large, and filled with premium blooms.
If you want the back-side of the arbor fully covered, this will add to the cost as well. Although we won’t use as much greenery as the front, it will still need to be full and covered to hide our mechanics. Some people like to fill the back, in situations where guests might be able to go behind the arbor after the ceremony/ if the arbor is moved to a new location with both sides viewable. Some people will even go 360 with their flowers, and ask for both sides to look like they could be the front!
